Koukola Fine Art {and explorations}

These are pastel paintings. For those not familiar with this medium, pastels are pure pigment (the same used to make oil paint) ground into a powder and pressed into sticks. The artist carefully applies layer after layer of the pigment to a textured surface. Here are some examples of work that I exhibit at fine art festivals and other events.
